Rapid COVID-19 Testing Service - Departures

This service is for airline passengers departing in the next 72 hours (we recommend you get tested at least 48 hours before your departure).

  • The price of the test is £50 for ALL airline passengers.
  • Departing Gibraltar Government Scholarship students with a Unique Identification Number (UIN) are entitled to ONE free rapid test each term.
  • You will be informed of the test result and sent a test certificate via email within 30 to 60 minutes after your rapid test. 
  • Our rapid test certificate meets UK entry requirements for international travellers.
  • The rapid test method is a nasopharynx (nasal swab) lateral flow diffusion antigen test (SD BIOSENSOR STANDARD Q COVID-19 Ag Test).

Once you have registered you will receive a barcode via email.  Come to the Rapid Testing Service and join the queue. When it is your turn, you will called to the test window and our Test Operative will ask for your barcode and test you immediately.

For the purposes of testing, we need your approval to use your medical information, which is always safe with us. Please make sure to read and agree to the Terms & Conditions and give consent.

You will be provided with a digital certificate that can be scanned to check for authenticity. If you require a printed certificate please request it from the Testing Station ONCE you have received your result.

  • The rapid test method is a nasopharynx (nasal swab) lateral flow diffusion antigen test (SD BIOSENSOR STANDARD Q COVID-19 Ag Test).
  • You will be informed of the test result and sent a test certificate via email within 30 to 60 minutes after your test.
  • The Rapid COVID-19 Testing Service is located outside the Gibraltar Airport. Look for the blue and white cabins.
